Oh Boy, this brings back the memories. Many, many years ago I worked in a service station owned by Standard Oil. Our very most expensive gas was a really high (over 100) octane, that sold for 39 cents a gallon. We didn't sell much of it, except on Friday nights. There was a race track a few miles up the road from us, and the drivers would flood the station, waiting to get some of the "good stuff". f/v

About Jean Goodwin Brooks

Jean Goodwin Brooks

Photography gives me such great joy. It's wonderful to discover the beauty in familiar places and things as well as in some new and different ones. For instance, if you look closely at a dandelion gone to seed, it's really quite beautiful and intricate. A simple cottage shutter and a bench become a composition. A beautiful sunset on the coast of Maine becomes even more inspiring. I hope you will experience joy in viewing my photographs. Thank you so much for visiting and come back soon. I will post additional photographs every now and then.
